Our aim is to serve more youth in a growing number of areas, contributing significantly to the development of the nation’s youth and workforce.

Ignition is more than an organisation; it’s a community of change-makers dedicated to shaping a brighter future for South Africa.

  • Become a funder

    You can make a donation of any amount to support our student programmes or request a formal proposal. We offer Section 18a Tax exemption certficates or BBBEE points.

  • Join as a Trainer

    Tell us more about your training experience and areas of interest. Our training seminars are in February, July and December of each year

  • Become a Mentor

    Sign up as a mentor and join our annual information session. Mentoring commitments run for a minimum of one calendar year, starting in January.

  • Offer Career Guidance

    We recruit professionals including Industrial and Organisational Psychologists, Psychometrists and career guidance counsellors to partner a student through their career selection process

The Society for Industrial and Organisational Psychologists of South Africa, recruit counsellors from their membership, who volunteer their time and expertise to counsel our learners one-on-one, assisting with deepening their understanding of themselves, as well as potential career options. In turn Ignition, provides experience that contributes to interns portfolio of work.

Sci-Bono Discovery Centre, offer full psychometric assessments to our school-based learners. This forms the foundation of our career counselling initiatives.

SystemicLogic is a strategy consultancy that provide integrated innovation solutions through advisory, technology, strategic execution, branding and investment solutions. SL supports Ignition with marketing and business solutions support.

Career Craft is a high-innovation career coaching consultancy that offers tailored solutions to meet a diverse range of career challenges. Through our coaching, counselling, workshops, and assessments clients can better align who they are with the work that they do and thus find more meaning and purpose in their lives. Career Craft assist in training the careers counsellors in our career guidance programme.

Rays of Hope is a long-standing partner, based in Alex and serving the people of Alex for over 30 years. We partner with their social work team to assist with counselling and home visits.

The British Standards Institution (BSI) is the national standards body of the United Kingdom that does work in South Africa. As part of its B-BBEE initiatives, BSI has partnered with Ignition to fund students and invest in their future for a better tomorrow.

The Alexandra Education Committee offers high school bursaries to selected high school learners from under-served backgrounds who live in or close to Alexandra to attend well-resourced schools. The AEC offers full wrap around support including psycho-social care. The AEC is one of our recruiting partners.

All our training seminars happen at the Rosebank Union Church venue. We recruit some of our mentors from the RUC membership.

Vision Works Optometrists is a network of local Optometrists with 38 branches nationwide, who serve their community in meaningful ways daily. It is a true honour to align with Vision Works and more so, specifically their Nicolway branch who continuously assist our team with providing us with eye tests and screenings, glasses and frames at reasonable prices and support for student learning. Showing that Vision Works honestly cares and makes ‘’loving your eyes’’ accessible to the masses. Vision Works Optometrists is our eyecare and eyewear destination of choice, and we thank them for their continued support.
